Why should young adults join our Young Adults group?
The Young Adults group at River Oaks Church is tailored for those in the first phase of college, starting their careers, or establishing their families. It’s a place where you can find support, community, and spiritual growth as you navigate this exciting and sometimes challenging stage of life.
For young adults navigating the complexities of college, careers, and family life, our group provides a supportive environment to deepen their trust in God. Through fellowship and spiritual growth, we help them align their paths with God’s guidance.
STATEMENT
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Juan Parra
Assistant Pastor, Student Ministries
Juan Parra
Juan was raised in the church since he was born by parents who love God. Even as a small child, he would come home from church, put on one of his father’s ties, and use the TV remote as a microphone to start preaching. He sensed a calling to pastoral ministry from a very young age, but it wasn’t until years later when he was 23 years old at a missions conference that he finally surrendered to God’s will. Juan left his current job to pursue Christian education a graduated from Master’s College & Seminary with a Bachelor of Religious Education with highest honors, and is currently enrolled in Wycliffe College’s Master of Theological Studies program part-time. Juan has been pastoring alongside my wife Neiel for the past two years, and together they feel compelled to work toward God’s purpose of transforming younger generations and raising them up to establish his Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
